NOT JUST SUNDAYS

Fellowship and Alpha

Fellowship Groups

It can be hard to get to know people well on a Sunday morning so we meet in smaller groups during the week to support one another and help one another to grow in faith. There are a number of different fellowship groups meeting on different days of the week, some in the daytime and some in the evening, but all offering a place to make friends and learn more about God. Please contact the Vicar if you are interested in joining a group and we will talk with you to help you find the right one for you.

Men's Breakfast

On the third Saturday of every month, between 8.30 and 10, a group of men from across Hoddesdon gather in the Barclay Hall for breakfast. Apart from enjoying a ‘fry-up’ they also enjoy talking and sharing about almost anything – events in the week – personal and general, work, relationships, holidays, politics, football, rugby, food, pubs, church stuff. A speaker is also often invited to the breakfast.

The men’s breakfast is a great place to build relationships and to offer mutual support and encouragement as well as think about key issues in our lives.

Alpha

Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions, with a day away. The New River Group (link) runs an Alpha course together every year, providing a safe place to ask questions. To read and watch other people’s experiences of the course, go to http://www.alpha.org.

For more information on the next Alpha course, contact us.
