Baptisms

If you live in our parish, we would love to welcome your family into our church family by baptising or christening your child. We believe that God welcomes all children and baptism is an important step in deciding that you want your child to belong to the family of God.

All our baptisms take place during our main morning service on a Sunday: because baptism welcomes a child into the family of God, it makes sense to have other members of that family present at the celebration! Most of them are in our more informal family services, but they do also take place at Communion too.

Your first step is to meet the clergy to give basic details. Contact the church Office.Then start coming to our Family services before the baptism takes place, so you can get to know us and we you: you will also see another family get their child baptised in our church. On one of these Sundays, we will meet up after church and go through the promises you make in more detail. On the big day, we look forward to welcoming you and your family and friends and celebrating with you.
